Outdoor candle lanterns are a fantastic way to add romance to your backyard or patio. You can also make your own outdoor candle lanterns. Simply fill a tin can with water and place it in a freezer. While the water is freezing, draw your design on a piece of paper that has been fitted around the can. Remove the can and wrap the paper around it. Now use a screwdriver and/or nails to puncture the design out of the can. The ice prevents the can from caving in.

Once you've cut your design in the can, line the bottom with rocks and add a few candles inside. Voila! Your very own candle lantern!
